Sisters are undeniably special. 

They are best friends, confidants, teachers, safety nets when we err, comrades in dealing with parents when we are young and when we are old. 

Sisters understand your family because they share your family, with all it’s private jokes and special challenges. 

A sister is a gift both to your heart and to your mental well-being.  If you have a sister, you always have a friend. 

If your sister is older than you have someone to whom you are always young. 

If your sister is younger, you get to be occasionally wise.  
Sisters are enough like us to create a sense of security in our thinking we cannot be completely alone in our thoughts. 

They have the same habits, history, and kitchen towels that we do. 

We are different flowers but grow in the same garden.
